Have you ever tried glamping? This August 2024, I went glamping for the first time in my life.
First, glamping stands for “glamorous” +”camping”
It was easier and more relaxing than the camping experiences I’ve had before.
Glamping is like staying in a nice hotel but in nature. If you want to breathe fresh air in a forest when you wake up but don’t want the hassle of setting up and taking down equipment, glamping is the best option.
Pros and Cons
Advantages:
You can go to a glamping site without any camping equipment. The site provides everything you need. Generally, dinner at a glamping site is a barbecue, and you don’t have to buy meat or vegetables at the supermarket—they’re prepared for you along with the barbecue equipment.
I the glamping site I stayed, I could even order alcoholic drinks from the bar.
Disadvantages:
The downside of glamping could be the distance to amenities.
The facility where I stayed was a camper van.
It had a bed, a small sink, and a table, but it wasn’t equipped with a bathroom.
So when I needed to use the bathroom, I had to walk to it.
Some glamping services might offer a bathroom, but my camper van did not have that amenity.
Summary
I enjoyed both camping and glamping!
In terms of budget, I would choose camping. I could camp for five days in a row because it’s more budget-friendly.
If your priority is convenience, it’s better to choose glamping.
I could also glamp for five days in a row because it’s very comfortable.
Sleeping in a confy bed is amazing….
